Job Description

One Acre Fund Tanzania is growing rapidly, increasing the number of villages it works within and the number of members it serves each year. We are seeking a government relations and communications officer to serve as a point of contact for our stakeholders
Engaging with local stakeholders including government officials of all levels (village, ward, district) as well as other local NGOs and companies, with a view to deepening and broadening the network of the organization.
-     Producing communications materials to engage stakeholders and keep them informed of our work, including quarterly reports, briefing notes, official correspondence and promotional materials.
-     Tracking and managing risks and issues to the program from external actors.
-     Targeting and pursuing contact with useful organizations identified as potential partners.
-     Planning and executing stakeholder events as well as participating in agricultural-related events.
-     Command of various tasks and projects as needed including research and analysis of specific topics, programs and government policies.

We are seeking professionals with a minimum of two years of work experience, some of which will have been in or with government institutions. We are looking for extraordinary candidates that are organized and proactive. Please apply if you possess the following qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree from a recognised academic institution
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
- Previous work experience in a demanding professional environment (government, business, NGO)
- Previous experience working in agriculture and/or rural development
- Previous experience in dealing with government officials at local and national levels
- Significant experience in producing neat and timely reports for internal and external audiences
- Significant experience in communications, including coordination of meetings and memos, and production of communication products (photos, flyers, brochures etc.)
- Demonstrated computer skills in email, internet usage, and Microsoft Office
- A willingness to commit to living in the Iringa Region for a long-term position and undertake occasional travel to other countries of operation.
- Passionate about serving smallholder farmers

Job Requirement
Facilitate the communities and other stakeholders in resource mobilization.
Facilitates effective participation of children, families, communities and stakeholders in program activities
To facilitate communities in the design, implementation and monitoring of community managed projects in line with the CCCD agenda.
Establish good' working relations with children, families, community leadership, community based organizations (CBOs), government extension staff and other stakeholders at ward and village levels
Create community awareness and the community volunteer on development education and communication. Facilitate the process of community reflections and project effectiveness.
Facilitate meaningful dialogue between children, families, communities and sponsors using Plan's sponsorship and development communication mechanism and tools.

Managing the project baseline, annual, midterm and end project evaluation reports processes and the reports appropriately disseminated
Development and maintenance of positive relations and communication with implementing partners, Government bodies, donors and other stakeholders
Thorough understanding of global developments on Child Protection and follow trends and updates to be applied in project implementation.
Ensuring that Plan's Child Protection and Gender Policy and Guidelines are adhered to in project implementation.
The day to day management of project staff and resources to deliver on project activities and results
Additional project management responsibilities related to child protection grants projects might be added to this position.

Experience in advocacy and Child Protection programming including partnership management and team leadership Excellent and proven project management skills developed in the delivery of similar projects
Strong national coordination, representation, networking, advocacy and communication skills utilised in the development of effective working relations across a range of stakeholders in project delivery.
Experience of establishing and using monitoring and evaluation systems to demonstrate accountability upwards and downwards in the delivery of projects.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to work with people from diverse cultures, ability to lead and motivate people to work in teams, including project staff and local government representatives
Ability to monitoring project results and expenditures against work plans
Computers skills in MS Office and Internet
Knowledge of the environment in Tanzania and current effective practice and policy issues as they relate to child protection
Degree in Community Development, Development studies, Business, Sociology or/with specialized expertise in education, health, livelihood, water and sanitation.
Ability to ride a motorbike
At least 1 years working experience in a similar role with a good awareness of current issues in the field of development, and familiarity with children's issues in particular
Experience in an INGO environment would be an added advantage.

Introduction:
The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a statutory Health Insurance Scheme established by Act of Parliament No.9 of 1999, to undertake the responsibility of insuring medical care services to its members.
The Fund commenced its operations in 2001. Its head office is located at, Kurasini (Bendera Tatu) Dares Salaam, and has branch offices in lloloTemekeKinondoniMorogoroDodomaMoshiArusha,TangaIringaMbeyaRukwaRuvumaMtwaraMwanza , Mara, Tabora , KigomaLindiSingida,ShinyangaKibahaKageraManyara, and Zanzibar; and will soon open other offices in GeitaNjombe,Katavi, and Simiyu.
NHIF now seeks to recruit dynamic, intelligent and result - oriented Tanzanians with high integrity, to fill the following vacancies:
Deals with enrollments and registrations of members and issuance of Membership IDs.
Facilitates response to members enquires on matters related to their membership.
Assist with updating and maintenance of membership data. Conducts advocacy to members and potential customers. Follows -up invalid members.
Facilitate preparations of various periodic reports on status of enrollment, registration and membership.
Assist with Correspondences With employees and employers on matters concerning enrollment, registration and membership.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
University degree in social sciences preferably in Insurance, Business Administration, Social Security Administration, Management, Statistics or equivalent qualifications. Knowledge in computer application is essential. Relevant work experience is an added advantage.
